A four-pitch walk to Niki Williams (Mission Viejo, Calif.) brought in the first Husky run.
Jenn Salling (Port Coquitlam, B.C.) hit the game-winning RBI in with a two-RBI single to right field for a 3-2 lead. Shawna Wright (Lancaster, Calif.) followed with a double down the left field line for two more runs. Hayward hit a bloop single to left as the sixth run came across home plate, unearned.
Creger-Zier scored the seventh run off of a single by Williams in the third.

Jones picked up her second win in the circle, allowing just two hits in 3 2/3 innings with four strikeouts.
Cal State Fullerton made five errors in the game and only seven of the 14 Husky runs were earned.
Williams and Hayward led the team with three hits each.
Game 2 - No. 7/9 Huskies 9, UMass 2
UMass Box Score
The Huskies fell behind 2-0 again early for the second time on the day, but rebounded well with great offensive and defensive plays to remain unbeaten.
It was the first meeting between the two teams since the NCAA Regionals in 2009 in which the Huskies defeated UMass in the final game to head to the Super Regional and eventually the WCWS and win the National Championship.
Freshman Bryana Walker (La Quinta, Calif.) earned her first career start in the circle after pitching four shutouts innings on Friday vs. Fordham in her Husky debut. She pitched 3.0 innings, allowing two runs on two hits while striking out two.
UMass scored its only two runs in the first, just like the Titans. Walker hit the first batter of the game and she scored on a wild pitch. The second ran came on a sacrifice fly to right field.
The Huskies cut the lead to within one after the first inning. Pohlman was hit by a pitch and stole second. A single to left field by Wright drove in Pohlman for the run.
Wright hit a solo home run to left center to lead off the third inning and tie the game at 2-2. It was the beginning of an eight-running inning for the Dawgs. The winning run came across on a wild pitch but by UMass started Lindsey Webster.
Smith hit a three-run home run to right field and then three Huskies scored on illegal pitches by Carolina Raymond.
Freshman Kaitlin Inglesby pitched the final 4.0 innings, picking up her sixth win on the year. She allowed no hits and struck out four.
The Huskies had 11 hits in the game, led by Salling, Wright and Smith with three each.
The Huskies will finish play at the Cathedral City Classic by taking on Cal Poly at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Live audio and stats will be available at www.gohuskies.com.
