Huskies Fall In Opening Game In Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Washington softball team (36-19, 16-8 Big Ten) dropped the opening game of the Fayetteville Regional on Friday night, falling to South Florida 1-3 at Bogle Park.
Washington will face Fordham in game two of NCAA Regional action at 1:30 p.m. PT on Saturday. Arkansas run-ruled Fordham 8-0 in six innings earlier today.
Jadyn Glab sent her 11th home run of the year to centerfield in the bottom of the second inning to put the Huskies up early, but it would be the only run to come across for Washington.
USF scored on an RBI single in the top of the third and the score remained tied at 1-1 until the seventh inning, when South Florida plated two in the top of the frame to come away with the win.
