The Gophers got going early against Washington, striking first with an RBI double in the top of the opening frame.
The Huskies stranded two runners on base in the bottom of the frame after both Kaycie Burdick and Giselle Alvarez drew walks, then Reimer handed out three consecutive strikeouts to cap the top of the second.
UW got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the second to tie the game at 1-1, beginning with a Melody Acevedo single. Ally Hetzel then grounded out to help Acevedo advance a base, then Marley Teasley delivered a single up the middle to bring home her fellow freshman.

Washington tied things up once again in the bottom of the fourth on a Burdick RBI single that scored pinch runner Mila Reddy.
Reimer gave up just two more hits from then on out, retiring three straight Gophers in the top of the fifth.
Jadyn Glab drew a leadoff walk in the bottom of the fifth, then stole second, before Ava Carroll stepped up and dropped in an RBI double to left field to give Washington its first lead of the game.
