LOS ANGELES - The No. 9/10 UW softball team suffered its third-straight Pac-10 loss, this time at the hands of No. 11/13 UCLA at Easton Stadium in Los Angeles Thursday night, 4-0. The Huskies fall to 30-7 and 5-5 in Pac-10 play while UCLA improves to 30-9 and 6-4 in the league.
UCLA got on the board early with one run in the first off of freshman Kaitlin Inglesby (Portland, Ore.). Katie Schroeder scored on a single by Kellie Fox.
Inglesby then threw three hitless innings until giving up a three-run home run to Kellie Fox with two outs in the fifth. She falls to 18-4 on the year after allowing four runs on six hits.
Donna Kerr in the circle for UCLA was nearly perfect. The first and only hit of the game for UW was a single down the third base line by senior Jenn Salling (Port Coquitlam, B.C.) to lead off the seventh.
