SAN DIEGO - Senior Quinton Beasley scored his first goal of the season to tie the San Diego State Aztecs, 1-1 in double overtime, in a Pac-12 match in San Diego Friday night.
SDSU (4-4-2, 0-2-1) outshot the Huskies (6-3-2, 1-0-1) 11-4 in the first half and 3-1 on goal. The first and only shot on goal for the UW in the first half was the goal by Beasley (Camas, Wash.) six yards out on the left side to tie the game in the 26th minute.
Blake Wise gave the Aztecs an early lead in the 11th minute on a 30-yard blast from left-center. The second shot on goal for the Huskies came in the 80th minute by Patrick Pacheco but was saved by SDSU keeper by Blake Hylen.
Junior Spencer Richey (Seattle, Wash.) made three saves in the game. He ranks in the top five all-time in school history in shutouts and goals against average.
The Huskies take on No. 8 UCLA on the Pac-12 Networks on Monday at 7 p.m.
