COACH GALLIMORE ON PUTZ
“We certainly don't want to put all the weight on her shoulders, but she's our most experienced goal scorer and assist getter. If she maintains her level and we have a couple other new people step up we should be okay. Caroline has always been a tremendous player who has improved with each game. She loves to play, but doesn't necessarily want to be the focus of attention. We have achieved some success as a program and a lot of that had to do with her. Caroline is tremendous in the role she plays on our team and that's what we try to build on. We've got a great team around her so she doesn't have to do it by herself. She is a competitor. She would never say so, but in the back of her mind I'm sure that she knows that she is close to some school records. She does understand that this year, as a senior and someone who aspires to play in the WUSA, she has to be consistent over the whole season. She's got a challenge in front of her and we'll certainly try to help her get there. I'm hopeful for Caroline that she can have a season that gets her drafted. Caroline is a soccer player. She loves to play and I would take her on my team any day.”
