2000 (Senior) - The lone senior on the Husky roster, Erickson hopes to return from a hand and wrist injury that caused him to struggle through the latter part of the 1999 season ... missed all of fall camp, but should be ready for the start of the 2000 season ... already holds the UW career home runs record with 31 ... should play first base and DH and hit cleanup ... enters the season needing only seven RBI to break into the UW career top 10 and is 55 away from Kevin Miller's Husky record of 166 ... with a good season, could end up on the UW career top 10s for runs, hits, RBI, doubles and , of course, home runs ... already ranks No. 4 on the UW career hit-by-pitch list with 24, nine short of the school record.
1999 (Junior) - Was having another strong power-hitting season before a collision at first base against UCLA on Mar. 27 broke bones in his left wrist and hand ... the injury eventually required surgery in the off-season ... injury wasn't diagnosed until the last weekend of the season (some seven weeks after the original injury), but did hamper his production ... at the time of the injury, was batting .325 with eight home runs and 24 runs batted in through 21 games ... played in 17 games after the injury, but managed only one homer and nine RBI ... had made only one error at first base before getting hurt and made four after ... hit eight home runs in his first 16 games, tying Kevin Miller's UW career home runs mark with his 30th career round-tripper coming against George Washington on Mar. 14 (game two)... opened the season with by going 2-for-6 with three runs, three RBI and a homer vs. BYU ... 1-for-3 with a homer two days later against the Cougars ... went on a tear at the tournament in Las Vegas, going 9-for-21 (.421) with nine runs, 12 RBI and three home runs in five games ... 2-for-5 with five RBI in a game vs. Nevada at that tournament ... in the Sunday doubleheader vs. George Washington, batted 5-for-8 with five RBI, four runs, two doubles and two home runs ... finally became the Husky home runking with his 31st blast vs. Arizona State on May 7 ... went 3-for-5 with two RBI in that one ... didn't play summer ball while recovering from the wrist and hand surgery ... drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 35th round of the June, 1999, draft, but opted not to sign professionally.
1998 (Sophomore) - Started 41 games at first base and four as the DH ... the Huskies' most oft-used cleanup hitter ... after struggling through the first quarter of the season at the plate, bounced back to have another strong power-hitting campaign ... placed third on the UW single-season list with 14 home runs for the season ... in 18 games against ranked teams, belted seven homers and drove in 25 ... didn't homer until his 14th game of the year, when he hit a two-run shot vs. Portland State (Mar. 15) ... hit nine homers over next 18 games after breaking out ... homered in back-to-back games vs. Arizona State (Mar. 27-28) ... in the Mar. 27 game, went 3-for-4 with three RBI ... the second of those was a solo shot in the eighth that sparked a come-from-behind win ... homered twice in three games at WSU (Apr. 3-5) ... hit a grand slam against Puget Sound on Apr. 22 ... hit a home run in division-clinching win over Oregon State on May 3 ... finished the season with a seven-game hitting streak, his longest of the season (12-for-30, .400, 13 RBI during streak) ... hit a home run in four of the last five games of the season, stretching over the Pac-10 Series and the NCAA Central Regional ... during the two-game sweep of No. 1 Stanford for the Pac-10 title, went 3-for-9 with five RBI, a homer and two runs ... had a very good regional, hitting safely in all four games and belting three round-trippers ... in win over Oral Roberts, went 3-for-4 with two doubles and a home run ... for the regional, batted 7-for-17 (.412) with two doubles, three homers, eight RBI and four runs ... a career .407 (11-for-27) hitter in two NCAA regionals ... had a strong season for the Grand Forks (N.D.) Channel Cats in the Northwoods League over the summer .. batted .290 with 11 homers and 50 RBI with a wood bat ... also served as a relief pitcher.
1997 (Freshman) - Earned 21 starts and 47 appearances as a true freshman . . . made 10 starts at first and 11 at DH ... made only one error in 135 chances at first base ... a power-hitting left-handed batter, Erickson belted eight homers, the ninth-highest single-season total in UW history at the time ... also drove in 25 runs and scored 21 in only 21 starts ... batted .400 (4-for-10) with two RBI in three starts at the NCAA Mideast Regional ... drove in a run with a groundout in first career at bat and then hit an RBI single in his second AB, both Feb. 7 at UNLV ... hit first career home run during a 3-for-5 day against Puget Sound March 13 ... hit a two-run homer in his only at bat March 22 at Hawaii-Hilo ... went on a home run tear in early April ... had two in four at bats vs. Puget Sound April 8 ... in his next game, April 12 at WSU, hit a two-run blast, then doubled and homered the game after that for four homers in three games ... hit a two-run, pinch-hit homer April 26 at Oregon State ... went 6-for-11 in final three games of the regular season, all at Portland State ... that stretch included a homer, a double, four RBI and six runs ... played summer ball for the Yakima (Wash.) Chiefs.

Earned letters for coach Chuck Bodeen his sophomore and junior seasons and for coach Ron Oliphant his senior year. . . drafted by the Florida Marlins in the 42nd round of the 1996 draft ... first team All-Big 9 junior and senior years ... batted .604 and won the league's triple crown as a senior ... once went 7-for-8 with three homers and nine RBI in one game ... also lettered twice in basketball and football, earning all-Big 9 acclaim in football ... student of the year graduating with a 3.86 GPA ... earned a Junior Masonic achievement award.
