
Washington Drops Quarterfinal To No. 14 Oregon

OMAHA, Neb. – The Huskies earned the first two Big Ten Tournament wins in program history in 2026, but the run ended in an 9-4 loss to No. 14 Oregon in the quarterfinals.
The Dawgs end their season at 25-32.
Washington got the offense going in the ninth inning. With the bases loaded, Ty Cowan blasted his first home run of the season, a grand slam to right field. Wilson, Taggart, Swidler, and Cowan all scored to bring the deficit to five, but the Dawgs late rally ended at four runs.
Noah Kenney made his 14th start of the season and tossed 4.0 innings, surrendering six hits, five runs, and four walks against five strikeouts.
Tommy Brandenburg, Tyler Walker, Carson Boesel, Cooper McBride, and Jaxson pitched in relief in the game, combining to close out the remaining four frames.
Blake Wilson led the Husky hitters with two knocks, while six other Dawgs recorded one hit on the day.
