Bryan Faulds Named Diamond Dawgs' Recruiting Coordinator

SEATTLE -Â Bryan Faulds has been hired to lead the recruiting and roster management for Washington Baseball, the program announced on Sunday.
He comes to Washington from his post as the head coach at the University of Akron, where's he has led the Zipps since 2023. In each season under the direction of Faulds, Akron improved their win win total.

"We have tried to add Coach Faulds to our staff a few times at Washington and the timing is finally right," said head coach Eddie Smith. "To be able to hire a sitting Division 1 head coach is a huge addition for us. He brings decades of experience in recruiting and roster management to our coaching staff. His West Coast roots and head coaching background make him the perfect fit for our program in today's recruiting landscape."

Faulds, originally born in the Seattle area, moved to the Bay Area during his childhood. He began his coaching career at the College of San Mateo in California before other stints as an assistant at Ohio University and St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas. In 2021 Faulds was elevated to the head coaching role at St. Edwards where he had immediate success.

"I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join Coach Smith and the University of Washington," said Faulds. "This is a special place with a tradition of excellence, and I couldn't be more excited to call Seattle home. I'm ready to pour everything I have in to our players, our program, and building something special at Washington."

Faulds joins the Huskies along with his wife Jess and daughter Harper.
