I'm back! After a year of passing off my journaling to Joe Birklid, I have come back to bring you all the inside scoop of the 2005 Husky season. For those who don't know me, my name is Michael Chabala and I'm from Fresno, California. I'm a 21-year-old senior who leads the team with the help of Jeff Hoover, Leo Totev, Mike Cusenza, Chris Eylander and Evan Cummings.
Being my last collegiate season I made the most of my own preparation during summer. Completing three professional camps and being selected to the U-23 Amateur National Team, I worked hard to put myself in the greatest position to have my best season for last. With professional ambitions on the near horizon following this season I focus my attention on my team and its success. This season will be determined by the senior class and I'm very confident in them all.
The 2005 University of Washington Men's Soccer Team is in full swing this time of year. We have already begun double days and approach our first scrimmage against Seattle University soon. The team's preparations for the 2005 season started long ago in January. Our team spent long hours in the weight room and put in a lot of hours on the pitch to assure the best possible chance of success for the season of 2005. After finishing a promising spring we have added 6 new talented young men that will add the key pieces to our team's future success.
