Naff Headlines Eight Huskies Earning Pac-12 All-Academic Recognition

SAN FRANCISCO β Eight Huskies were named to a 2017 Pac-12 Baseball All-Academic team, including first-team selection John Naff. Along with Naff, seven Huskies earned honorable mention recognition.

Naff, a senior from Marysville, Wash., earned All-Academic honors for the first time, boasting a 3.67 GPA in Sociology. The first baseman played in 50 games, starting 49, and hit .271 with three home runs and 18 RBI.

The seven Huskies named honorable mention All-Academic include: junior outfielder KJ Brady, senior infielder Josh Cushing, senior outfielder MJ Hubbs, junior infielder Levi Jordan, senior outfielder Jack Meggs, senior pitcher Greg Minier and junior catcher Joey Morgan.

Several Huskies are repeat members of the All-Academic squad. Cushing was named Pac-12 All-Academic Second Team in 2016 and was a first-team selection in 2015. This selection marks the third-straight honorable mention honor for Meggs, while Brady, Jordan and Morgan were honorable mention All-Academic for the second-consecutive year.
