SEATTLE--- The Washington women's tennis team defeated Idaho 7-0 on Friday morning at Nordstrom Tennis Center. With the victory, the Huskies improved to 5-0 on the season. Washington's last four victories have all been 7-0 sweeps.
"We've played five matches now, and have done really well," said head coach Robin Stephenson. "The girls have gotten some confidence, gotten some wins and I think we've gotten better and better in every match. That's been our goal, to get a little better every day, in practices and matches. We're competing the right way, we're playing the right way.
The Huskies opened the match by winning two doubles matches in dominating fashion. Sophomore Vanessa Wong and senior Kenadi Hance improved their record as doubles partners to 4-0 on the season as they defeated Laura Spataro and Anna Stefani 6-0.

The teams will compete in a single-elimination tournament over a four-day span to crown a national indoor champion. Each team is guaranteed three matches at the event.
"I feel good going into next weekend," continued Stephenson. "Next weekend is going to be extremely competitive, but the girls are ready for the challenge and excited for it."
