Where The Huskies Are Playing This Summer

Four Huskies will be playing baseball in the Cape Cod League to highlight a large contingent of University of Washington players that will showcase their talents around the country this summer.

Sophomore pitcher Jack Enger, sophomore outfielder Braiden Ward and freshman David Rhodes will team up for the Wareham Gatemen, while sophomore pitcher Stevie Emanuels will venture to Brewster to compete with the Whitecaps. All four will report after summer quarter ends at UW on June 14.

Two current Huskies will play for the West Coast League. Freshman catcher Colton Cassinelli will play for the Portland Pickles, while freshman pitcher Diego Barrera will wear the Bellingham Bells uniform. Additionally, two incoming freshmen will play in the WCL: infielders Dalton Chandler (Portland) and Christian Dicochea (Bellingham).

A couple of UW pitchers β Jack DeCooman and Cole Galvagno β will head to the Prospect League and play for the Danville Dans in Illinois.

Junior Christian Jones will join the Fairbanks Goldpanners in the Alaska Baseball League, Dylan Lamb will play for the independent Humboldt Crabs and Brandon Leitgeb will play for the Portland Prairie Dogs in the Cascade Collegiate League.

Additionally, incoming freshmen pitcher Mike Schreiber and outfielder Caiden Matheny will be playing in the Collegiate Baseball League for the PUF Caps.
