
Ward Named To Cape Cod All-Star Team

Washington junior-to-be Braiden Ward has been named a starter for the Cape Cod All-Star West Team. The Huskies' centerfielder will represent the Wareham Gatemen in the game on Sunday, July 21 at Orleans.
Ward has proven to be a perfect table-setter for the Gatemen, who lead the Cape Cod in most offensive categories. He leads the Cape Cod Baseball League with 17 stolen bases and ranks seventh in the league with a .330 batting average. He has also mashed three home runs and driven in 15 more from his lead-off spot.
The All-Star game will take place at 3:05 p.m. PT with the HR Derby taking place at 2:00 p.m. PT that same night.
