
Two Midday Matchups Slated For Women’s Basketball This Week

SEATTLE – The Dawgs return home this week for two more non-conference home games against Cal State Fullerton and Prairie View A&M.
Washington (4-1, 0-0 Big Ten) will face Cal State Fullerton (0-4, 0-0 Big West) on Thursday, Nov. 21 at noon before facing Prairie View A&M (2-1, 0-0 SWAC) on Friday at noon.
Both games will be available on B1G+ and called by Gary Hill on 1090 KPTR-AM.
Elise Woodward (play-by-play) and Jason Dorrow (analyst) will be on Thursday's call. Alyssa Charleston will join Woodward as an analyst for Friday's matchup.
Washington will be hosting a canned food drive for its two women's basketball games this week where all donations will be given to the UW Pantry.
Fans are encouraged to bring a minimum of two canned or non-perishable food items to the game where they can receive a free ticket to the Dawgs' home game against UCLA on Dec. 8.
All canned food and non-perishable food item donations will be given to UW Pantry to help UW students and family members facing food insecurity this holiday season. The pantry has expressed that the following items are the most in-need of at this time.
LAST TIME OUT
The Huskies look to stay undefeated at home this season, with their only loss coming at the hands of Montana in Missoula on Sunday, 82-68.
Sayvia Sellers recorded her second straight 20+ point came as she delivered a career-best 22 for the Huskies on 9-of-12 shooting.
Dalayah Daniels was the Huskies' only other double-digit scorer Sunday, finishing with 13 points, three rebounds, and two assists.
Elle Ladine toyed with another double-double with nine points and seven rebounds.
UW pulled down 18 rebounds on the offensive end, the most by the team since Nov. 18, 2023, vs. Seattle U last season.
STACKING UP IN THE BIG TEN
Through five games for the Dawgs, Elle Ladine is eighth in the Big Ten with 77 total points and Sayvia Sellers is tied for ninth with 73.
Ladine has connected on 13 threes, tied for the third most in the conference while shooting 41.9 percent from behind the arc.
Sellers ranks fourth in total steals with 13, averaging a team-high 2.6 per game.
Tayra Eke is matched for 16th most rebounds in the league with 30. She is averaging a team-best 6.0 per game.
Chloe Briggs ranks first in the conference in field goal percentage with 15 or more attempts. The sophomore has connected on 14 of her 19 shots (73.7 percent).
SCOUTING REPORT -- CAL STATE FULLERTON
Cal State Fullerton is winless through four games this season, tipping off the season with three straight road games at Pepperdine, Fordham, and LIU. CSUF most recently dropped its home opener to Sacramento State, 67-40.
The Huskies have only faced the Titans one other time, winning 83-74 in the 2018-19 season home opener.
Cal State Fullerton finished last season with a 10-20 record while going 6-14 in the Big West Conference. The Titans concluded the season with a first round loss in the Big West Championship.
SCOUTING REPORT – PRAIRIE VIEW A&M
Prairie View A&M opened up the 2024-25 season with two straight dominant wins, scoring 105 in each of its two wins, defeating Texas College 105-71 and beating Jarvis Christian College 105-62.
The Panthers finished last season 11-18 (7-11 in Southwestern Athletic Conference), losing to Jackson State in the SWAC tournament.
This is the first time UW and Prairie View A&M have met.
