
Huskies Close Out Long Run At Mt. SAC Relays

WALNUT, Calif. – Washington finished up four days of action at the Mt. SAC Relays today with a handful of Huskies competing in the elite field event sections. Scott Toney came away with the win in the men's pole vault to highlight the day.
Toney cleared 17-8 1/2 to take the win in the men's vault today. Fellow senior Mathis Bresko was fourth making 17-4 1/2.
On the women's side, only Hana Moll vaulted today. She made 14-1 1/4 for her opening bar, then passed up to 14-9, but did not clear that one today.
In the elite long jump, All-American Prestin Artis had a best of 24-3 3/4 to finish ninth. Sophomore Trevontay Smith took just two attempts in the triple jump, going 49-7 1/4 on the second to finish fifth overall.
Kaia Tupu-South opened up her outdoor season in the discus, throwing a best of 165-1 to finish ninth in the top section.
