
No. 3-Ranked UW Women To Compete At Big Ten Championships

The No. 3-ranked Washington women's rowing team will compete at Big Ten Championships for the first time in program history this coming weekend in Indianapolis.
The Huskies, who had competed in the Pac-10/Pac-12 since the conference first recognized women's sports in 1986-87, made the move to the Big Ten along with most of the rest of UW's programs. Washington's women won the Pac-10/12 title 18 times.
This weekend's Big Ten Championships will take place at the Indianapolis Rowing Center, where Washington won the 2019 NCAA Championship, sweeping all three grand finals.
At Big Ten Championships, the 11 participating programs compete in seven race categories: first, second, third and fourth eights; and first, second and third fours. Here is the preliminary race schedule:

The Washington women have won a total of 18 conference championships in rowing, dating back to the first Pac-10 Championships in 1987. Here is a list of Washington's all-time women's rowing conference championships (1995 and 1996 were combined men's and women's championships):
