
UW Falls To 3-1 After 24-6 Loss To No. 1 Ohio State

SEATTLE – Washington was within one score of No. 1 Ohio State in the fourth quarter on Saturday, but ultimately fell 24-6 in front of a sold-out crowd at Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium.
The Huskies opened the scoring on a 28-yard field goal from Grady Gross in the second quarter of the Big Ten opener for both teams.
OSU scored two unanswered touchdowns before Gross made a second 28-yard field goal with 3:49 left in the third quarter to make the score 14-6.
The Buckeyes added a field goal and a touchdown in the fourth quarter to remain undefeated.
Demond Williams Jr. was efficient through the air, completing 18 of 22 passes for 173 yards.
Freshman receiver Dezmen Roebuck led the team with four catches for 58 yards.
Jonah Coleman ran 13 times for 70 yards and caught three passes for 26 yards.
On the defensive side for UW, Alex McLaughlin had a team-high 13 tackles while Jacob Lane recorded the lone sack.
Washington travels to Maryland for a tilt with the Terrapins on Oct. 4. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. on Big Ten Network.
