ST ANDREWS, Scotland – Washington men's golf is sitting at even par following the first 18 holes of play at the St Andrews Links Collegiate on the Jubilee Course.

UW is sitting five shots back of No. 8 Texas' lead heading into the final round of stroke play tomorrow morning. St Andrews is in second one shot ahead of the Huskies at 1-under (349). It's the fourth round this season that UW has finished at even or better.

Brock Maulding led the charge with a 66 (-4) where he made five birdies following his opening hole bogey. Maulding is in solo second two back of Texas' Daniel Bennett. The 66 matches Maulding's career-low round which he had during Round Two of The Tindall last year and matches the Husky best gross score of the season.

First-year Hamish Farquharson is sitting in a tie for third at 3-under. Farquharson had a fast start with four birdies on his first seven holes on his way to a 67.

Emil Herstad had a steady round, shooting 1-over (71). Finn Koelle is tied for 16th at 2-over. Jake Foley and Grady Millar rounded out the Husky lineup both posting a 74 (+4). Millar was able to rebound after an opening hole 9 and bogey on two with four birdies coming down the stretch.

Washington will tee off for the second round at 2:42 a.m. PT. At the conclusion of tomorrows round the tournament will crown the individual champion while the teams seeding will determine the match play competition on Wednesday. Tuesday's round will be televised on Golf Channel beginning at 6 a.m. PT. Live scoring is available through Scoreboard Powered by Clippd.
