No. 25 Washington Women’s Basketball Falls At No. 15 Iowa
February 11, 2026 | Women's Basketball
IOWA CITY, Iowa — The No. 25 Washington women's basketball team fell on the road at No. 15 Iowa 65-56, Wednesday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
The Huskies were stout on the defensive end of the floor, holding the Hawkeyes to one of their lowest point totals of the season. Part of it can be attributed to Washington's effectiveness on the glass, holding Iowa to its second-lowest rebound total and lowest offensive rebound total this campaign.
Iowa also recorded its second-lowest assist total of the season with 12.
Elle Ladine led Washington with 19 points and Sayvia Sellers (14) also scored in double figures for the Huskies. Ladine has now finished in double figures in six of the nine road games she's played in this season.
Ladine delivered the opening bucket of the game for Washington, and closed the first quarter with eight points. Six different Huskies recorded a bucket in the opening frame, and Hannah Stines capped it off with a midrange jumper as time expired to give the Huskies a 25-19 lead.
Stines hit a big 3-pointer in the third quarter, while Ladine scored six points in the frame. Sellers took over in the fourth, notching eight points and an assist on a 3-pointer from Ladine.
Up next, the Huskies will host Oregon on Sunday, Feb. 15 at 5:00 p.m. PT at Alaska Airlines Arena. The game will be televised on Big Ten Network.
