Game 1 – No. 25 Washington vs. No. 9 Nebraska
The Huskies and Huskers were back and forth during much of the opening game Friday before Nebraska used a four-run fifth inning to seal the deal and defeat Washington, 8-5.

DeBoer hit another bomb to center field to give the Huskies the lead once again, 5-4, but four runs in the bottom of the fifth from Nebraska gave the Huskers a lead they never lost.
Game 2 – No. 25 Washington vs. UTSA
Game two of the afternoon was all offense for Washington, as the Dawgs put up 17 runs and Sophia Ramuno secured a shutout against UTSA.
Washington jumped out to a six-run advantage in the first inning, followed up by three up and three down from Ramuno in the bottom of the opening inning.
The Huskies scored two more in the second, triggered by a Jade Bubke sacrifice fly to left field to bring in DeBoer from second.
Sophi Mazzola then singled up the middle, bringing in Giselle Alvarez.
Alvarez attacked again in the fourth with a triple to right field that sent Addie Craig and Gabi Toney to home plate, extending the Husky lead to double digits, 10-0.
Kaycie Burdick recorded her second hit of the afternoon, a single through the right side of the infield, bringing in Alvarez and Sophi Mazzola.
DeBoer continued the offensive onslaught, homering to left field and bringing in Ava Carroll from second.
Ally Hetzel recorded her first career home run – a three run dagger that brought in Mila Reddy and Mazzola – in the top of the sixth to balloon the UW lead to 17-0.
Washington returns to Roadrunner Field Saturday at 11:05 a.m. PT for a matchup with the top-ranked Texas Longhorns. Catch the action on ESPN+.
