
Washington Beach Volleyball Looks To Build Momentum At SMC Spring Fling

SEATTLE – No. 18 Washington heads to Moraga, Calif., for the SMC Spring Fling on Saturday, March 21, and Sunday, March 22.
There will be no live stats on Saturday, and Sunday's coverage is uncertain.
The Huskies open tournament play against Saint Mary's at 11:00 a.m. PT, followed by a matchup with Pacific at 3:00 p.m. PT. On Sunday, Washington faces Pacific again at 9:00 a.m. PT before wrapping up the slate against Saint Mary's at 3:00 p.m. PT.
Washington enters the weekend after going 2-2 at the Stanford Invitational, showing flashes of dominance and battling through tough losses to top-ranked competition. The Huskies opened strong Friday, edging No. 16 North Florida 3–2 behind clutch wins from Ella Tyus/Sarah Wilcock and straight-set victories from Mayamay Brown/Ellis Hay and Avery Towne/Alina Urzua, before falling 5–0 to No. 2 Stanford.
Saturday brought redemption with a 5–0 sweep of Houston Christian, but the weekend closed with a hard-fought 4–1 loss to No. 11 Long Beach State, with Towne and Urzua securing Washington's lone point. The Huskies move to 8-8 on the season as they prepare for Moraga.
