
Washington Sweeps Minnesota

SEATTLE – No. 21 Washington women's tennis swept Minnesota, 4-0, at Bill Quillian Tennis Stadium on Friday afternoon.
Washington improves to 16-3 overall and 7-3 in Big Ten action. The Huskies are 11-0 on Montlake this season.
The Huskies won their 17th doubles point of the season with a pair of wins by Erika Matsuda/Karolina Kozakova, 6-0, and Reece Carter/Jermine Sherif, 6-2.
Sherif kept her momentum from doubles into singles as she won her match in straight-sets, 6-0, 6-2.
Kozakova put the third point on the board with a 6-2, 6-3. It is her second win in the four matches she's played.
Alexia Jacobs clinched the match with her 7-6(2), 6-4 win on Court 3. Jacobs was down 0-4 in the second set and fought her way back to win six consecutive games.
Washington will be back on the courts on Sunday afternoon as the Dawgs take on the No. 31 Wisconsin at noon. Sunday is also senior day where UW will recognize Carter and Matsuda in a pre-match ceremony.
