May 06, 2026 | Men's Golf
SEATTLE – Jacob Goode, Emil Herstad and Finn Koelle have been named to the All-Big Ten Second Team, the conference office announced today. Herstad was also named to the All-Freshman Team.
It marks the first time since 2024 Washington had three or more selected to All-Conference Teams.
Goode became the seventh Husky all-time to shoot under 200, going 199 at the Amer Ari in January. He had a pair of Top 10 finished, six rounds in the 60s and 10 rounds under par. In his lone season as a Dawg, Goode had the third-best scoring average at 72.4. Goode had a team-low round of 64 (-6) this season at The Goodwin and also had a 7-under round (65) at the Amer Ari.
Herstad led the team with his 71.4 scoring average in his six events he played in since arriving to campus in January. Twice Herstad posted tournament scores of 209 at the Southwestern Invitational and this past weekend at the Big Ten Championships. Herstad is the fourth Husky to be named to a conference All-Freshman team joining Corey Pereira (2014), Carl Yuan (2016) and Koelle (2024). Herstad, Pereira and Chris Williams (2010) are the lone freshman to also be named to a first or second conference team since 2010.
Koelle earns his second career conference nod after being named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team in 2024. This season, Koelle was runner-up at the Big Ten Championships at 5-under. He posted the second-lowest scoring average on the team at 72.2 and a team-best 12 rounds under par while having seven rounds in the 60s. Koelle was the lone Husky to compete in all 11 tournaments this season.
Freshman Grady Millar was named to the Big Ten Sportsmanship Team.
While Washington will not make Regionals as a team, the Dawgs will await individual selection announcements later today. The NCAA Selection Show will air on Golf Channel at 11 a.m. PT.
