SEATTLE – Washington men's golf head coach Thomas Sutton has announced his first transfer signing today in Walker Lamb. Lamb makes his way to Washington from across town at Seattle U where he spent the last two seasons with the Redhawks.

This past season at Seattle U, Lamb led the team with a 71.9 scoring average across his 11 tournaments. He had three Top 10 finishes and placed in the Top 20 in eight events. At the Palouse Collegiate, Lamb carded an 8-under tournament and had a career-low 66 (-5) in the second round. He matched his career low in the first round of the Bandon Dunes Championship as he finished the tournament with a fifth-place finish.
As a freshman, Lamb competed in 11 events and held a 73.0 scoring average. His best round of the season came at the WAC Championships when he fired a 68 (-4) to help the Redhawks become tournament champions as he placed fourth overall.
"Walker will bring great energy to our team, and we are excited about the impact he can make both on and off the golf course," Sutton added. "We look forward to helping him continue his development and are excited to welcome him to the Husky family."
