Huskies Chart Course For Cross Country Season
August 25, 2026 | Cross Country
SEATTLE – Washington Cross Country has mapped out its road to Terre Haute, with five meets on the schedule prior to the main objective, the NCAA Championships on Nov. 21.
The Husky distance runners report to campus this week and will then head to training camp in the Cascade Mountains at Suncadia. With a few weeks of training under their belts, UW will line up and race for the first time on Sept. 19, in Terre Haute, Ind. at the John McNichols Invitational. The Huskies will be hoping to use that race as a course preview, as the NCAA Championships will be at the same location two months later.
On Sept. 25, UW will compete at the Loyola Lakefront Invitational in Chicago for the second year in a row, followed by a run at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational on Oct. 9 in Madison, Wisc.
The Big Ten Championships will also be in Madison, on Friday, Oct. 30, and then the Huskies will take a run at NCAA West Regionals in Sacramento on Nov. 13. If they take care of business in California, they'll head back to Terre Haute for NCAAs on Nov. 21.
