COLUMBUS, Ohio – Washington returned to winning ways on Monday evening, downing No. 3 Ohio State 4-0.

With the win, the Huskies improve to 5-3-1 and 2-1 in Big Ten play. The win was Washington's second win over a top five team this season after the 4-2 win over No. 3 Portland last month.

The Huskies applied pressure from start to finish and scored four goals for the fifth time this season. In each Washington win this year, the Huskies have bagged four.

Harrison Bertos opened the scoring in the 39th minute. Last year's hero of the national championship match slotted home the match-winning strike on a feed from Osato Enabulele.

It was Bertos' third goal of the season and his second game winner of the 2026 season.

In the 44th minute, Ohio State lost a player to a second yellow card, opening the way for Washington to pour on the pressure in the second half.

Zach Ramsey recorded his 12th goal of the season in the 51st minute, scoring on a free kick attempt from an incredible distance. Ramsey curled in a ball to the far corner, just out of reach of the goalkeeper.

Jake Goetting got on the board next, scoring his first collegiate goal. The first year diced up three Buckeye defenders before roofing a rocket of a shot in the 69th minute.

Alex Hall created the final goal of the night, sending in a corner kick in the 89th minute. The ball hit the far post before going in and was credited as an own goal by the Ohio State scorekeepers.

Stockton Short earned his second solo shutout in the 4-0 victory. The Huskies held Ohio State to just four shots in the match.

Washington launched 18 shots the other direction including eight on target and 13 corner kicks in the game.

Stockton Short and Egor Akulov both played the full 90 minutes in the match. Alex Hall, Zach Ramsey, Asher Hesatd, and Harrison Bertos each logged 80+ minutes as well.

Washington returns to action against Rutgers on Friday night at Husky Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. PT.
