2019: Competed three times outdoors in the 1,500-meters β¦ best time was 4:54.08 at the Ken Shannon Invite for ninth β¦ 10th in the 1,500m at the UW-WSU Dual in 4:56.73.
2018: Ran at two meets during the indoor season β¦ opened the year at the UW Indoor Preview, running the 1,000-meters in 3:01.23 β¦ ran 2:21.26 for 800-meters at the UW Invitational.
2017: Ran a full season indoors before redshirting the outdoor season β¦ best 800-meters time was 2:17.20 at the SPU Final Qualifier β¦ ran one mile, finishing in 5:02.07 at the UW Invitational β¦ first run was a 1,000-meters at the UW Indoor Preview in 3:00.13.
High School and Personal: Born in Spokane, Washington β¦ parents are Kathy and Troy Bester β¦ has one older brother, Bragdon β¦ a six-time top-five finisher at the Washington 4A state meet, twice in the 800-meters, twice in the 1,600-meters, and twice on the 4x400m relay β¦ as a senior at state, took fourth in the 800m finals, fifth in the 1,600-meters, and ran on the second-place 4x4 β¦ a six-time individual Greater Spokane League champion, three in the 800m and three in the 1,600m β¦ a 2015 Junior Olympics All-American, taking second in the 1,500-meters at nationals in Florida in 4:45.62 β¦ the GSL Track Athlete of the Year in 2016 β¦ competed in multiple events at the 2015 and 2016 Oregon Relays, winning the 4x800m relay in 2015 β¦ in cross country, was 18th at the state championships as a senior and second at districts β¦ finished 34th at the 2015 BorderClash cross country race β¦ a National Honors Society member with a grade point average of 3.9.
