Courtney Gano enters her fourth season with Washington softball, back to serving as a Husky assistant coach, ahead of the 2025-26 season.
She served as the Chief of Staff & Video Analysis Coordinator in 2024-25.
Gano ran the team defense in 2023-24, as the Huskies tied for the best fielding percentage in Washington history and third in the nation.
As a player, Gano concluded her career with a .296 average with 24 home runs – including 18 during her junior season – and 102 RBI. She saw time all around the field, making starts at first base, third base, shortstop and catcher during her four years as a Husky. Gano was named a Pac-12 Second Team selection and NFCA All-Region Third Team honoree in 2015.
Gano played for Team USA in 2019 and won Gold at the Japan All-Star Series as well as bronze at the World Cup.
Gano retired in 2023 from her professional playing career after time with Athletes Unlimited, Club Forlì in Italy and the Chicago Bandits in the National Pro Fastpitch league.
