2017: Led the team again in the hammer and weight throws β¦ outdoors, twice threw over 190-feet in the hammer, with a best of 192-1 for third at the UW-WSU Dual that was just five inches off his career-best β¦ had a shot put career-best of 53-3 Β½ in the Dual meet to take third in that event as well β¦ also threw 191-0 at the Stanford Invitational β¦ placed 17th at the Pac-12 Championships with a throw of 168-3, his shortest of the season β¦ went 188-6 at the Beach Invitational β¦ indoors, had a season-best weight throw of 56-8 ΒΎ at the MPSF Championships to finish 15th overall β¦ also threw 55-0 ΒΌ at the Husky Classic Β β¦ named a Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention.
2016: Made major progress as UWβs top hammer and weight thrower, highlighted by a surprise fourth-place finish in the hammer at the Pac-12 Championships where he set a new PR of 192-feet, 8-inches β¦ increased his then-PR by eight feet at the Ken Shannon Invite, winning with a throw of 190-5 β¦ took second in the hammer at the UW-WSU Dual with a toss of 182-4, a PR at the time β¦ took fifth at the Pepsi Team Invite with a toss of 181-9 β¦ had a new personal best in the shot put of 51-6 Β½ at the UW-WSU Dual β¦ indoors, new PR in the weight throw of 57-5 ΒΎ came at the UW Invitational β¦ also went 57-2 ΒΌ at the UW Indoor Open β¦ finished 15th in the weight at the MPSF Championships at 53-2 ΒΌ β¦ season-best indoor shot put of 49-5 at Indoor Open β¦ a Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention.
2015: Built on his PRs in both the hammer and weight throws as well as the shot put β¦ in the hammer throw outdoors, tossed a career-best 169-3 at the Baldy Castillo Invite in Tempe β¦ took third in the hammer at the Pepsi Team Invite with a best of 167-3 β¦ also third in the UW-WSU Dual hammer, going 163-8 β¦ had a shot put PR of 50-0 Β½ at the Ken Shannon Invite outdoors β¦ indoors, best weight throw of 50-8 ΒΌ came at the UW Invitational β¦ also went over 50-feet at the UW Indoor Preview, going 50-1 ΒΌ β¦ top shot put mark indoors of 48-10 ΒΎ β¦ earned a spot on the Pac-12 All-Academic Second Team.
2014: Redshirted the season, competing unattached in the weight throw indoors, and the shot put and hammer outdoors β¦ outdoors, threw the hammer 160-4 at the Ralph Vernacchia Invite, and had a best shot put mark of 45-5 β¦ indoors, ended the season with a season-best weight throw of 51-5 at the UW Indoor Open.
High School and Personal: Born in Munster, Indiana β¦ parents are Carline and Tim Campbell β¦ has one older brother, Kelvin, who currently attends UW, and one younger brother, Micah β¦ one of the top shot putters in the state, taking third at the Washington 4A state championships in both 2012 and 2013 β¦ as a senior, upped his personal-best in the shot to 58-feet, 7.75-inches, and threw 56-10 in the state finals for third β¦ won the WesCo title in the shot put as a junior in 2012 β¦ two-time runner-up in the shot put at the district meet β¦ took second at the 2013 Pasco Invitational in the shot put with a best of 57-8 Β½ β¦ a Lake Stevens Journal Athlete of the Week in 2013 β¦ also a standout on the football field, as he was a three-year letterwinner, and named All-WesCo First Team in 2012 as an offensive lineman β¦ an East-West All Star Game nominee in 2012 β¦ team captain in football and track β¦ graduated with a 3.99 grade point average.
