2017 Pac-12 4x400m Relay Third-Place
2015 Pac-12 4x100m Relay Third-Place
2017: Had his best season as a senior, breaking into the UW top-10 list indoors and scoring on both relays at the Pac-12 Championships … ran a wind-legal 100-meters PR in his last open 100m at the Pac-12 Championships, as he finished 10th overall in 10.61 seconds … made the Pac-12 podium on the 4x400-meter relay as he stepped up in distance to lead off that group, which took third at Pac-12s in a season-best 3:08.42 … also ran the second leg on the 4x100m relay which was sixth in 40.93 seconds … advanced to NCAA West Preliminaries with the 4x4 relay, placing 21st overall in 3:10.16 in his final race … opened his outdoor season with an all-conditions best of 10.44 seconds (+2.8) at the Trojan Invitational for third … also ran a 200-meters PR at the Trojan Invite of 21.67 … ran on both victorious relays at the UW-WSU Dual, helping the men’s team earn the narrow win over the Cougars … at the Mt. SAC Relays, ran 10.70 in the 100-meters and helped the 4x4 run a 3:08.45 for sixth in the invite section … indoors, had a breakthrough 60-meters at the Husky Classic, as he ran 6.77 seconds in the prelims, lowering his PR by a full tenth of a second and moving up to a tie for fourth-place in school history, then ran 6.81 in the finals for fourth … made the finals of the MPSF Championships for the first time at 60-meters, running 6.79 in the prelims and then 6.86 in the final for seventh-place … was voted to the Pac-12 All-Academic First Team … also named USTFCCCA All-Academic.
2016: Again part of UW’s fastest 4x100m relay foursome, running on the group’s two best times, a 40.32 in the UW-WSU Dual and a 40.37 at the Pac-12 vs Big Ten Invite … ran his season-best 100-meters of 10.89 seconds at the UW-WSU Dual, taking fifth … top 200-meter time of 22.01 at the Pac-12 vs Big Ten Invite … indoors, ran a season-best 60-meters of 6.91 seconds to take 14th at the MPSF Championships, and ran on the 4x400m relay that was eighth in 3:14.81 … made the Husky Classic semis at 60-meters, going 6.96 in the prelims and 6.97 in the semis … a Pac-12 All-Academic Second Team selection.
2015: Helped the Husky 4x100-meter relay reach the NCAA West Preliminary Championships and scored on the relay at the Pac-12 Championships … led off the 4x100m relay which ran a season-best 40.11 seconds at the Pac-12 meet to take third overall to earn a spot on the podium … at West Prelims in Austin, the relay finished 18th overall in 40.48 seconds … was 17th overall in the 100-meters at Pac-12s in 10.76 seconds … set a career-best 100-meters time of 10.63 seconds at the UW-WSU Dual taking second … also ran his 200m PR in the Dual meet, going 21.82 for fourth … third in the 100-meters at the Pepsi Team Invite in 10.85 and part of the winning 4x100m relay in 40.33 … clocked a 10.79 at the Stanford Invite for 19th in the 100-meters … indoors, was 11th in the 60-meter dash at the MPSF Championships in 6.89 seconds and ran on the 4x400m relay that took ninth … set a new 60m PR of 6.88 at the UW Invitational prelims, and was sixth in the final in 6.92 … named to the Pac-12 All-Academic Second Team and also earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors.
2014: A key contributor on the 4x100m relay in his first season, scoring at the Pac-12 Championships … at Pac-12s, ran the third leg of the relay which finished seventh in 41.78 seconds … also ran the open 100-meters at Pac-12s, finishing 20th in 10.96 seconds into a -1.0 headwind … twice ran 10.95 second season-bests at the Trojan Invite and Stanford Invite … clocked a wind-aided 10.81 100-meters at the Washington Open … ran a 200m best of 21.93 at the Washington Open … ran part of the top 4x100m time of the year, 40.79 seconds, in the UW-WSU Dual … was fifth in the 100m in the Dual Meet and seventh in the 200-meters … redshirted the indoor season, competing several times unattached … broke seven seconds in the 60-meters for the first time at the SPU final Qualifier, going 6.95 … also ran a 200m best in the SPU meet in the Dempsey of 22.24.
High School and Personal: Born in Bellevue, Washington … parents are Stephanie and Theodore Strong … has one younger sister, Sheila … grandfather, Roger Strong, grandmother Sheila Anderson, and aunt April Silva all attended UW as well … came on strong as a senior, making the Washington 4A state finals for the first time and finishing second at 100-meters and third at 200-meters … anchored the 4x100-meter relay team that won the 4A state title his junior year in 2012 … won the Narrows League titles at 100m and 200m as a senior … ran a PR of 22.10 for 200-meters at the 2013 Oregon Relays … set his 100m best of 10.83 seconds in the Narrows League final in 2013 … a 2013 Tacoma Athlete of the Year nominee.
