2024: Opened her season with a PR in the javelin, throwing 162-9 at the Stanford Invitational to win the collegiate section, with a mark which would have qualified for NCAA Prelims, and ranked No. 5 in school history β¦ only threw once more after Stanford, suffering a season-ending injury β¦ earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors and a spot on the Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll.
2023: Set the UW Freshman Record in the javelin in her first spring, qualified for NCAA Prelims and scored at Pac-12s β¦ tossed her Freshman Record of 162-7 in the NCAA West Prelims in Sacramento, finishing 20th overall and going to No. 5 in school history β¦ placed eighth at the Pac-12 Championships in the javelin with a throw of 155-10 β¦ was fifth at the Mt. SAC Relays with a toss of 161-8 β¦ threw 155-3 in collegiate debut at the Aztec Invitational, finishing third β¦ fifth at the Desert Heat Classic with a mark of 160-0 β¦ named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.
High School and Personal: Born in Bellevue, Wash. β¦ parents are Sarah and Desiree Orange β¦ class valedictorian at Kentridge High School ... one of the top prep javelin throwers in the USA β¦ was the U.S. U20 Championships runner-up in the javelin in 2022, throwing 156-4 β¦ won the USATF National Junior Olympic Championship with a PR of 162-7 β¦ took second at 2022 Nike Outdoor Nationals with a best of 157-4 β¦ undefeated in high school competition, winning the Washington 4A state title with a throw of 153-9 β¦ also was sixth at state in the shot put in 2022.
