Lesle Gallimore ends her Husky coaching career after 26 seasons, having made a gigantic impact on athletes, coaches, and fans across the globe. Washington athletics would not be the same without Gallimore's contributions, nor would the sport of women's soccer worldwide.
At Washington, Gallimore won 270 games and made 15 NCAA Tournament appearances. That includes two trips to the Elite Eight and ten trips to at least the second round. She has also served as the president of the United Soccer Coaches organization and has been a mentor to countless athletes and coaches across the country. Twice Gallimore earned Pac-12 Coach of the Year awards, one of only five coaches ever to do so. In 2019, Gallimore earned the United Soccer Coaches' Regional Coaching Staff of the Year award in addition to her Pac-12 Coach of the Year honors.
Gallimore graduated from California after a stellar playing career, earning four All-American awards before earning her degree in psychology. Gallimore's son, Zachary, is a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps and is stationed in Lejuene, North Carolina. He is married to Elhiany and they have one daughter, Leila.
