SEATTLE -- Washington women's soccer finished up the 2012 season with its annual awards banquet. The Huskies were honored for its 10-win season that included a spot in the NCAA Tournament. Head Coach Lesle Gallimore announced the team awards that included Lindsay Elston being selected as both offensive MVP and Player of the year, while also winning Goal of the Year.
Elston finished the season with a team-leading 11 goals and five assists during her junior season. She was also honored for her improbable strike against Auburn in the first round of the NCAA Tournament as Goal of the Year.
Other winners of team awards that were voted on by the players were Molly Boyd who was named defensive MVP, Isabel Farrell who was tabbed as Rookie of the Year and Falon Miller who earned Most Improved Player. Boyd was the anchor of the Husky defense that allowed just 22 goals on the season, while Farrell and Miller proved to be impactful to the Dawgs as freshmen.

In addition to the team awards, five Huskies were honored as part of the L.I.F.E. Columns Awards. These four annual awards are given to the players that best exemplify the pillars of the Husky program.
