MINNEAPOLIS – Angelica Chou gave No. 12 Washington an early lead Thursday night at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium but the Huskies were unable to make it stick, finishing in a 1-1 draw with Minnesota.

Chou's goal was her third of the season, the second year's second in Big Ten play.

The Huskies started the match on the front foot, created several chances to carve out a first half lead. The Huskies finished the opening 45 minutes with six shots, putting five on goal, but were unable to break the deadlock.

However, it took mere minutes for Chou to put the Huskies in front after the restart in her return to the pitch from a one-match absence.

Receiving a feed from Andrea Leyva, Alex Buck burst past her defender on the wing, dashing towards the touchline before laying off to Chou, who passed the ball into the bottom corner to make it 1-0 UW in the 67^th minute.

The advantage lasted nearly 20 minutes before Ellen Neuharth poked a loose ball in the 18 bending away from a fully stretched Tanner Ijams, perfectly slotting into the upper 90.

Neither side was able to separate the rest of the way, splitting a point apiece in the Big Ten table.

Washington remains on the road on Sunday, facing Wisconsin in Madison at 11:00 a.m. PT. The match will be available for streaming through B1G+.
