SEATTLE – The Washington women's soccer team battled for 90 minutes with No. 11 UCLA Friday night in Westwood, splitting the points after a hard-fought defensive effort for both sides.

Husky keeper Tanner Ijams turned in arguably her best performance of the season, matching her season-high of five saves for the fifth time in 2026.

Ijams eclipsed 100 career saves on the night en route to her ninth clean sheet of the season and the 20^th of her career, moving within one shutout of tying Washington's all-time career record in just her second season between the posts for the Dawgs.

Washington controlled the pace of play early in the match and spent the vast majority of the first 20 minutes in the Bruins' defensive third. However, the Huskies were unable to produce the final ball to threaten the UCLA goal.

From there, both teams hunkered down for the rest of the first half in a defensive stalemate, totaling just seven first half shots combined, with UCLA leading 4-3 on attempts.

A Bruin turnover in their own defensive end shortly after the restart nearly sprung Alex Buck loose for the opener, but the Husky striker's blast from just outside the 18-yard box flashed just wide.

UCLA seized control of the possession battle as the second half wore on but the Washington back line stepped up time and time again to thwart the UCLA attack and when the Bruins did manage to break through, Ijams was there to put out the fire.

The SoCal natives first match-saving stop came in the 66^th minute, reacting quick to a ball that glanced off the post and across her goal mouth, swiping away Leena Powell's chested effort towards the temporarily vacant net.

With under 30 seconds remaining until the final whistle, Ijams saved the ball off the goal line to deny Nicki Fraser's would-be winner, preserving a crucial point for Washington in the Big Ten table with postseason play looming.

Washington will head east to the Midwest for a pair of road matches next week, beginning with a Thursday night match in Minneapolis against Minnesota. The match will be available for streaming through B1G+.
