MADISON, Wisc. – The Washington women's soccer team suffered its second defeat of the season on Sunday, falling 2-1 at Wisconsin.

Maylen Montoya scored her third goal of the season in the loss, briefly tying the match late in the first half.

The Badgers jumped in front in the 17^th minute on a shot from distance as Jadea Collin tucked her strike neatly in the corner, narrowly evading Husky keeper Tanner Ijams at full stretch.

The Huskies found the equalizer with less than five minutes remaining in the half as Montoya's service into the box bounced over several heads, including Badger net minder Drew Stover, and into the back of the net.

However, Wisconsin answered just two minutes later, regaining the lead on Erin Connolly's header in the 43^rd minute.

Washington dominated possession throughout the second half but couldn't carve out another chance to equalize, falling to 6-2-3 in Big Ten play.

The Huskies conclude the regular season at home on Friday, hosting Oregon for Senior Day on Montlake. Washington will recognize seven members of its senior class prior to kickoff, set for 8:00 p.m. PT, streaming on B1G+.
