
Davidson, Sittauer Named Academic All-Region

SEATTLE -- Academic Awards continued to filter in for the Washington women's soccer team as Kari Davidson and Annie Sittauer were honored by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Davidson was named First Team All-Academic for the West Region, while Sittauer was an honorable mention selection.
Davidson will graduate this spring with a degree in visual design communications. She carries a 3.47 grade point average and also co-founded Haiti Babi, a non-profit organization that seeks to employ and empower Haitian mothers that do not currently have the means to care for children forced into orphanages on the impoverished Caribbean island. http://www.gohuskies.com/sports/w-soccer/spec-rel/061312aab.html.
Sittauer carries a 3.82 GPA while majoring in communications. She was also named First Team Academic All-Pac-12. The junior recorded two assists on the season.
Davidson and Sittauer joined Lindsay Elston who was honored earlier this winter by the NSCAA as a second team All-Pacific Region player. Elston led Washington in scoring with 11 goals and five assists.
Washington finished 10-8-3 and qualified for the NCAA Tournament in 2012.
