COACH GALLIMORE ON BROOKENS
"If there is a most improved player in their career at Washington it is Lisa Brookens. Amy (Griffin) does deserve a lot of the credit for helping Lisa improve her game but as a coach there is only so much you can do. It is the player's responsibility and Lisa has risen to the challenge. She was limited as a goalkeeper coming in as far as her experience. Playing with and behind Hope (Solo) has helped her and just her own mental fortitude. She's a competitor, she has done some amazing things in the last three years to get her to the point where she can be the starter this year."
