2000 (Junior) - After a terrific summer in the Cape Cod League, should move from the closer role into a regular starting pitcher ... fastball velocity has continually improved during his career ... throws from a three-quarter to side-arm angle.
1999 (Sophomore) - Took over as the Husky closer, co-leading the Pac-10 with eight saves ... eight saves were fifth-most in UW single-season history ... 27 appearances were third-most ... already ranks seventh in UW career history with 52 appearances ... eight career saves are tied for fifth in Husky lore ... earned saves in both BYU games to open the season ... due to unusual substitutions, also had an at bat on opening day ... didn't allow a run, earned or otherwise, in his first eight outings ... picked up third save vs. Nevada and saved Jeff Carlsen's 2-1 win at Arizona on April 2 ... fanned one in one no-hit inning for a save vs. Stanford on April 9 ... also had saves vs. CS Northridge, Oregon State and Arizona State ... had a great summer in the Cape Cod League, closing for the Bourne Braves ... posted a 1.50 earned run average.
1998 (Freshman) - Became the Huskies' set-up man and led the team in appearances with 25, the third highest total in school history ... gave up a run in only seven of the 25 outings and held the opponent without a hit in 11 trips to the mound ... allowed only 28 hits and walked only 12 in 34.2 innings ... posted six wins, a total all the more impressive considering that in none of those wins did he enter the game with a lead and lose it ... over his first five career outings, threw 4.1 innings, allowing two hits and one unearned run while fanning four ... over first 13 outings, had a 0.57 ERA (one ER in 14.2 innings) ... of the 16 earned runs he surrendered on the season, 11 came in a three-game stretch Apr. 11-18 ... take away those three outings and he would have had a 1.55 earned run average ... worked 2.2 no-hit innings at No. 1 Stanford on Mar. 22 in a 9-5 UW win, but didn't get a decision ... in three outings against the top-ranke Cardinal, gave up no hits and no runs in 5.2 innings ... fanned three in 1.2 innings to get first win, Mar. 11 vs. Puget Sound ... fanned two Sun Devils in 1.1 innings to earn a win over Arizona State on Mar. 28 ... suffered first loss vs. Washington State on Apr. 3 ... at the NCAA Central Regional, allowed two hits and no runs in 2.2 innings vs. Mississippi State ... suffered the loss to Texas A&M ... in that game, had his second-longest outing of the season (3.0 innings) and struck out a career-high four batters ... over the summer, pitched for the Yakima Chiefs and, towards the end of the summer, the Bourne Braves in the Cape Cod League.

A three-year letterwinner as a pitcher for coach Dean Hoff ... team MVP, All-Big 9 Conference and all-state as a senior ... finished second in the state his senior year ... completed 43 transfer college credits prior to high school graduation.
