2001 (Sophomore) -- Redshirted the season due to a biceps injury … 2000 (Freshman) -- Finished his first season as a Husky with 21 appearances, second most on the team … all 21 appearances were in relief and none were more than two and one-third innings … had one stretch of six straight scoreless outings and gave up only six earned runs over his last 16 appearances (15.1 innings) … earned lone decision (a win), with two scoreless innings at Washington State April 5 when the Huskies rallied from 5-0 down in the first inning to win, 8-7 … struck out a season-high three batters in two and one-third innings at Stanford on April 16 … earned lone save May 10 against Portland, throwing one scoreless inning in a 10-7 victory.

Earned three letters as a pitcher and first baseman for coach Tom Adams ... as a senior, made all-state and was the MVP of the Washington team in the Washington-Oregon series ... in that series, struck out seven in three innings in game one, then got the game-tying hit and pitched a perfect ninth inning for the save in game two ... 5-2 in senior season and 9-1 for his Legion team over the summer ... undrafted in June '99 draft, but turned down lucrative free agent offers after outstanding summer performance ... earned two letters as a tight end and linebacker on the football team ... a member of the National Honor Society and winner of several academic awards ... graduated in the top five percent of his class with a 3.9 GPA.
