STOCKTON, Calif. – Soham Purohit moved into the ITA Northwest Regionals quarterfinals in singles as well as doubles, teaming with Brett Pearson, on Saturday. The quarterfinals will go Sunday starting at 8:30 a.m. in doubles at Pacific's Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center in Stockton.

Purohit won twice in singles, starting with a quick 6-1, 6-1 win over Portland State's Aarjun Pandit. He then had a 6-2, 1-6, 6-3 win over the ninth-seed, Paris Pouatcha, of Cal.

Purohit and Pearson teamed for an 8-5 win over a Gonzaga duo to make the doubles quarterfinal, where they will face the No. 4 seeds, Kim/Bluett, of Santa Clara.

The Huskies also picked up a couple wins in consolation play, with Stephane Kamendje and Daniel Bien earning wins. Kamendje beat Vraj Patel of Pacific, 6-3, 2-0 (ret.) and Bien had a 6-2, 6-1 win over Lucca Lafrance of Portland.
