David-Smith won a sprint to the line over a Spanish athlete, taking fifth in 20:37, and every place mattered as France and Germany both finished with 21 points, but France won the tiebreaker for the U23 team title. The Husky was the top French finisher.

In the senior women's championship race, 2025 UW All-American Amina Maatoug took sixth overall for the Netherlands in a time of 25:36.
The senior men's race saw Ireland make the podium for the first time in 25 years, helped by former Husky Brian Fay. Fay was 10th overall and second on his Irish team in a time of 22:31 to help Ireland win silver.
