
Huskies Complete Day One Of ITA All-American Championships

CARY, N.C. – Washington women's tennis completed day one of the ITA All-American Championships with a singles win and two doubles wins at Cary Tennis Park in Cary, North Carolina.
Jermine Sherif picked up her first win as a Husky, defeating Virginia Tech's Arina Gamretkaia in straight sets 6-1, 6-4.
In singles action, Carina Syrtveit, Alexia Jacobs and Marie Weissheim move to the consolation draw. Syrtveit and Jacobs forced third sets while Weissheim fell in straight sets.
In doubles, the team of Erika Matsuda and Syrtveit took care of business 6-3, 6-3 against Kargina/Kolarevic of Fordham. Reece Carter/Sherif had a dominating 6-1, 6-2 victory over Todosescu/Teodosescu of Indiana.
