
Huskies Take Down Pepperdine 11-2 To Close Road Swing

The Huskies improve to 10-14 on the season with the win.
Tommy Brandenburg turned in a dominant start, throwing 5.0 innings of scoreless baseball to lead the Huskies to the win. He finished with five hits allowed and five strikeouts with one walk.
Jackson Hotchkiss batted leadoff again for the Dawgs and continued his hot streak. The sophomore knocked his third home run in the last two games, bringing his season total to a career-high seven home runs.
He was also one of five Huskies who contributed multi-hit games on Tuesday, joined by Colton Bower with three, and Sam DeCarlo, Blake Wilson, and Ty Cowan with two hits apiece.
Washington also knocked five extra base hits as Bower, Wilson, and Cowan chipped in doubles to go along with Hotchkiss's home run.
Bryce Johnson and Peysen Sweeney pitched in relief to close out the game. Johnson took over for innings six through eight, allowing three hits and two runs with two walks and a strikeout.
Sweeney finished off the contest, throwing the final frame, allowing one hit and one walk with no runs.
Washington returns to action this weekend against Northwestern at Husky Ballpark, starting the three-game series on Friday evening at 7 p.m.
