September 03, 2026 | Men's Soccer
SEATTLE – Washington took a 2-0 lead into the first half but ultimately settled for a 2-2 draw with Cal State Fullerton on Thursday evening.
The Huskies move to 2-2-1 with the result.
Washington was by far the more aggressive team in the match. The Huskies launched 26 shots at the Fullerton goal compared to five the other way. Half of the Huskies attempts were on frame, and forced 10 saves from the Titans.
The Huskies also had three shots hit the woodwork.
Washington also had 11 corner kicks in the match while preventing the visitors from attempting even one.
The Huskies applied pressure from the beginning and found the breakthrough in the 32nd minute. From well outside, Connor Lofy sent a ball into the six-yard box. The service snuck between Kevin Hernandez and the keeper and found the back of the net.
It was Lofy's first goal of the season with Cameron Cruz claiming his third assist of the season.
Zach Ramsey added the second goal in the 42nd minute, doing all the work himself. He controlled the ball in the Washington half and drove all the way to the Fullerton end of the pitch.
From the right side of the box, Ramsey cut back, losing two defenders in the process. He laced the ball with his left foot to the far top corner, out of reach of the Fullerton keeper.
It's Ramsey's seventh goal of the season. He's scored at least one goal in each game he's played in 2026.
Fullerton struck back in the second half. The Titans scored their first in the 67th minute and tied the match in the 70th.
The Titans received eight cards in the match, including a red card on a player in the 88th minute and a yellow card assessed to the coaching staff.
Despite the man advantage, the Huskies couldn't find the winning goal.
Stockton Short, Egor Akulov, Zach Ramsey, Alex Hall, Zack Meier, and Connor Lofy all played the full 90 minutes in the match.
Harper Mikolasy made his first start for Washington, slotting in a centerback. He played 75 minutes and logged two shots, both on target.
