GETTING TO KNOW VINCE FLORES
Β
Pre-game superstitions:
Very long stretch routine and I have to have an empty stomach.
First memory of baseball:
Playing up a league and hitting an inside-the-park home run in my first game.
Favorite baseball player:
Randy Johnson because my uncle was a huge fan and I loved his dominance on the mound. He also has the coolest nickname, The Big Unit.
Why Washington?
I chose the University of Washington not only for the resources for me to succeed in baseball but also education. The campus is beautiful and I loved the fact that the school and city come together as one. Β Also, the coaching staff and players were very welcoming.
