2018: Completed a full season indoors in the 60m hurdles then competed twice outdoors β¦ the top 60m hurdler on the squad once again, posting a season-best time of 8.22 seconds at the UW Indoor Preview β¦ competed at the MPSF Championships, finishing 17th overall in 8.50 β¦ made the Husky Classic 60m hurdles final, placing seventh in 8.33 β¦ also clocked an 8.37 at the UW Indoor Open β¦ outdoors, ran the 110m hurdles at the UW-WSU Dual, placing fourth in 14.67 β¦ also raced at the Mt. SAC Relays, going 14.64.
2017: Reached the Pac-12 Championships finals in the 110m hurdles for the second year in a row, picking up a sixth-place finish β¦ ran 14.31 with a 2.3 tailwind in the Pac-12 prelims to reach the hurdles final, then ran 14.50 in the final to take sixth β¦ best wind-legal mark of the season was 14.47 seconds at the OSU High Performance Meet where he was third β¦ also ran 14.49 at the Beach Invitational for seventh β¦ fourth in the 110m hurdles at the UW-WSU Dual β¦ indoors, lowered his 60-meter hurdles PR to 8.13 seconds, which he ran at the UW Indoor Preview and again in the Husky Classic β¦ was 10th in the MPSF Championships in the 60m hurdles in 8.16 seconds β¦ third in the UW Invitational finals in 8.15 seconds.
2016: Set personal bests and made his first Pac-12 final in the 110m hurdles β¦ highlight of his season was setting a PR of 14.43 seconds in the 110m hurdles prelims to make the Pac-12 hurdles final, where he finished eighth in 14.60 β¦ had a wind-aided best of 14.39 seconds at the UW-WSU Dual to take second in the hurdles β¦ won the 110m hurdles at the Ken Shannon Invite in 14.68 β¦ clocked a 14.55 at the Mt. SAC Relays β¦ third in the high hurdles at the Pepsi Team Invite in 14.72 seconds β¦ indoors, ran at the MPSF Championships, taking 13th overall in the 60m hurdles in 8.27 seconds β¦ twice ran season-bests of 8.26 seconds at the UW Invitational and again at the Husky Classic.
2015: Ran a full season indoors and out in the hurdles, focusing on the 60m hurdles indoors and running both the 110m hurdles and 400m hurdles outdoors β¦ scored at the UW-WSU Dual in the 110m hurdles, finishing third in 14.70 seconds β¦ ran a season-best 14.64 for the high hurdles at the Mt. SAC Relays β¦ got the win at the Ken Shannon Invitational in his season finale, running 14.74 seconds β¦ fourth in the 400m hurdles at the Pepsi Team Invite in a season-best 58.44 β¦ indoors, competed in the MPSF Championships, finishing 11th in the 60m hurdles with a season-best time of 8.25 seconds, and also ran on the 4x400m relay which took ninth β¦ was ninth in the 60m hurdles at the Husky Classic in 8.35 seconds.
High School and Personal: Born in Spanaway, Washington β¦ parents are Mary and Harold Simpson β¦ has one younger sister, Courtney β¦ won back-to-back 4A state titles in the 110m hurdles, winning every high hurdles race his senior year through the state meet β¦ also won his first 300m hurdles title as a senior in 2014, running a PR of nearly a full second in the finals of 37.78 β¦ got a win in the hurdles at the 2014 Arcadia Invite in 14.11 seconds β¦ took fourth in the 110m hurdles at the 2014 Brooks PR Invite in 14.12 β¦ also took second at state as a senior in the 4x100m relay and 11th in the 4x400m relay β¦ clocked his 110m hurdles best of 14.03 seconds in a win at districts in 2013 β¦ named Tacoma Athletic Council Track Athlete of the Year as a senior and SPSL South Track Athlete of the Year β¦ graduated with a 3.96 GPA.
