2021-22 (Track): A strong season focused on the 5k again, scoring at Pac-12s and placing top-20 at NCAA Prelims β¦ was 17th at NCAA West Prelims in the 5k, running 13:43.79 β¦ eighth in the 5k final at Pac-12s, running 13:41.75 β¦ broke 13:30 for the second time in his career at the Bryan Clay Invitational, running 13:29.55 β¦ opened the outdoor season at the Raleigh Relays with a third-place finish in 13:40.20 β¦ indoors, ran the second-fastest 3,000-meters time in school history, going 7:49.74 at the Arkansas Qualifier, placing fourth β¦ barely missed his first sub-four mile in the indoor finale, running 4:00.07 at the Pac-12 Invitational β¦ named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team ...Β (Cross Country): Ran at all three championship meets for the Dawgs, helping the team to a 13th-place finish at nationals β¦ was the No. 6 or No. 7 runner for UW all four times he raced β¦ at NCAAs, placed 152nd overall in 30:35, sixth on the team β¦ the sixth Husky finisher, in 36th-place, at West Regionals β¦ ran to 33rd-place at Pac-12 Championships, seventh on the team β¦ was seventh on the squad, in 146th, at the Wisconsin Invite, in a time of 24:50.
2020-21 (Track): Became the fastest 5,000-meter man in UW history by seasonβs end, as he shattered the School Record in his first NCAA Outdoor Championships appearance, running 13:27.26, the first Husky ever sub-13:30 β¦ that record time at NCAA Outdoors was good for 12th-place, as it was the fastest final in NCAA history, and earned All-America Second Team honors β¦ NCAA Outdoor record time was nearly a 15-second PR β¦ qualified for his first individual NCAA Track appearance by taking third in his 5k heat at NCAA West Prelims in 13:52.40 β¦ placed eighth at the Pac-12 Championships in the 5k with a then-PR of 13:42.01 β¦ won the 3k at the UW-WSU Dual I a time of 8:08.13 β¦ third in the 1,500m at the Stanford Invite in 3:47.24 β¦ indoors, ran one time as he focused on cross country, but ran a 13:47.41 5,000-meters at the UW Invitational to go to No. 5 in school history indoors ... 2019-20 (Indoor Track; Outdoor Season Canceled): Lowered his personal-bests during the indoor season β¦ ran a new mile PR of 4:03.08 at the UW Invitational, taking 13th overall β¦ was 14th in the mile at the MPSF Championships in 4:08.87, doubling back after he led off the DMR the night before which was second in 9:45.25 β¦ an indoor 800m PR of 1:53.13 at the UW Last Chance Meet ...Β (Cross Country): Came on strong in the postseason to contribute to Washingtonβs NCAA run β¦ at his first NCAA Championships, placed 117th overall, fourth on the team, in a time of 32:06 β¦ a breakout performance at the Pac-12 Championships, where he scored fourth on the squad in 23rd-place in a time of 23:40 β¦ only prior race was at the John Payne Invite where he was eighth overall in 25:10.
2018-19 (Track): Took some big strides throughout his first outdoor season, as he reached the 1,500-meter final at his first Pac-12 Championships β¦ was 12th in the Pac-12 final at 1,500-meters after taking fifth in his prelim heat β¦ set a 1,500m PR at the Portland Track Festival in June, running 3:45.38 β¦ won the 1,500m at the Ken Shannon Invite in 3:48.19 β¦ ran a 1,500m time of 3:47.54 at the Cardinal Classic β¦ fourth in the UW-WSU Dual 1,500-meters β¦ did not compete indoors or in the fall.
2017-18 (Track): Redshirted his first track season ...Β (Cross Country): Redshirted the fall season, running three times unattached β¦ got a victory at the Emerald City Open at Woodland Park, winning in 25:24 β¦ ran at the Dellinger Invitational in Oregon unattached, taking 78th in 24:57 β¦ was 21st at the season-opening Sundodger Invite in 25:48.
High School and Personal: Born in Louisville, Colorado β¦ mother is Joanie Carew and father is Ashley Green β¦ has one older sister, Claire, who runs track at the University of Arizona β¦ both parents competed in track at Cal Poly β¦ one of the top distance recruits in the country with impressive range, he was the Colorado Gatorade Track & Field Athlete of the Year as a senior in 2017 β¦ earned the Gatorade Athlete of the Year honor thanks to sweeping three state track titles in 2017, winning the 800-meters in 1:52.92, the 1,600-meters in 4:21.98, and the 3,200-meters in 9:26.39, and also helped win the 4x800m relay state title β¦ one of the top milers in the country, he took fourth in the 2017 adidas Dream Mile in a PR of 4:05.23 β¦ won the mile at the 2017 Arcadia Invitational in 4:09.69 β¦ was state runner-up as a junior at 1,600-meters β¦ as a sophomore, won the 1,600m state title in 4:19.56, took second at 800-meters in a PR of 1:52.62, and even qualified for state in the high jump and has a high jump PR of 6-4 ΒΎ β¦ third in the 800m and fourth in the 1,600m at state as a freshman in 2014 β¦ in cross country, was a two-time 5A Colorado state champion, winning as a junior and senior β¦ finished 41st at the 2016 Nike Cross National Championships in Portland β¦ also lettered in basketball in 2016 β¦ graduated with a 3.6 grade point average.
