2023: Standout in the shot put and discus once again, making NCAA Prelims in both events and finishing top-17 in the West in both β¦ placed 16th at West Prelims in the discus with a throw of 173-11, and was 17th in the shot put with a mark of 54-6 ΒΎ β¦ went over 55-feet three times in the shot put β¦ took fifth in the shot put at the Pac-12 Championships with a throw of 53-9 ΒΎ β¦ season-best discus throw of 174-2 at the Triton Invitational, and also had outdoor season-best shot put of 55-7 Β½ β¦ second in the shot put at the Aztec Invitational going 55-2 ΒΎ and was seventh in the discus at 171-7 β¦ indoors, improved her shot put School Record at the Husky Classic to 55-10 Β½ β¦ that PR ranked 26th nationally at the end of the indoor season β¦ named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.
2022: Broke the long-standing Washington shot put record outdoors and broke her own indoor shot put record, as well as improving on her discus PR β¦ broke the 34-year-old outdoor shot put record at the Fresno State Invitational where she went 55-10 Β½ to win β¦ was fifth at the Pac-12 Championships in the shot put, going 54-4 ΒΎ and was eighth in the discus at 174-0 β¦ placed 16th in both the shot put and the discus at NCAA West Prelims β¦ set a new discus PR of 185-4 at the Fresno State Invitational, improving her No. 2 mark in school history β¦ also threw 185-1 at the Beach Invitational β¦ won the shot at the UW-WSU Dual at 54-5 Β½ and was second in the discus at 170-4 β¦ indoors, broke her own school record at the Pac-12 Invitational, throwing 55-3 Β½ β¦ that mark ranked 24th nationally indoors β¦ won the UW Invitational shot put at 53-7 Β½.
2021: Took fifth at the Pac-12 Championships in both the shot put and the discus, and posted the No. 2 marks in school history in both events outdoors, while breaking the indoor shot put School Record in a great season β¦ launched a discus PR of 183-3 to win the UW-WSU Dual and go to second in school history with the best mark by a Husky since 1998 β¦ set a shot put PR of 53-8 Β½ at the Pac-12 Championships to take fifth and go to No. 2 in school history, and was fifth in the discus at 170-7 β¦ at NCAA West Preliminaries, was top-20 in both events, taking 14th in the shot put at 53-7 ΒΎ and 18th in the discus at 173-1 β¦ at the Jim Click Shootout, fourth in the discus at 165-5 and fourth in the shot put at 51-9 β¦ second in both the shot and discus at the Jim Bush Legends Invite, going 51-3 Β½ and 161-3 β¦ indoors, broke the shot put School Record that had stood for 33 years with a throw of 53-7 ΒΎ at the Husky Classic β¦ that mark ranked 26th in the NCAA for the season β¦ first at the UW Invitational going 51-11.
2020 (Indoor Track; Outdoor Season Canceled): A strong redshirt freshman season indoors, moving all the way to No. 4 in school history in the shot put β¦ improved her shot put best at each of the first four meets, making a big jump at the Don Kirby Invite where she threw 51-2 3/4 to take sixth β¦ had her season- and personal-best of 51-4 1/4 at the UW Last Chance Meet, getting the win β¦ was 11th at the MPSF Championships with a best of 48-0.
2019: Redshirted her first season, competing unattached indoors and out β¦ competed at the USATF U20 Championships in June, taking fourth in the discus with a toss of 166-2 and seventh in the shot put at 47-1 3/4 β¦ took second in the discus unattached at the Ken Shannon Invite with a season-best of 169-3 β¦ indoors, threw the weight four times, with a best of 54-10 1/4 at the Last Chance Elite Meet β¦ won the shot put at the Last Chance Elite Meet with a toss of 49-9 3/4 that would rank sixth in school history if done in uniform β¦ first in the UW Invitational open section shot put at 49-1 3/4 β¦ third in the shot put at the Husky Classic at 48-9 1/2.
High School and Personal: Born in Kansas City, Missouri β¦ parents are Carmalita and Dwayne Kelby β¦ has one younger brother, Vincent β¦ one of the top discus throwers in the nation over her prep career β¦ was named the 2017-18 Gatorade Girlβs Track & Field Athlete of the Year for Missouri β¦ four-time Missouri 5A State Champion in the discus and a two-time State Champion in the shot put β¦ holds the Missouri state record in the discus β¦ ranked seventh nationally in 2018 with her discus toss of 168-6 set in a win at the prestigious Arcadia Invitational β¦ competed at the 2018 U.S. Junior Championships, taking 11th β¦ eighth at the 2017 New Balance Outdoor Nationals in the discus β¦ fifth at the 2017 National Junior Olympics meet at 155-3 β¦ a three-time Kansas Relays discus champ and meet record-holder and was the 2018 female MVP of the meet β¦ won eight conference titles, four straight in the discus and shot β¦ also lettered two years in basketball β¦ a two-time Academic All-State selection.
